Rebecca Bartlett
The areas I serve in Georgia
My territory encompasses Atlanta and it’s surrounding counties within 60 miles. This includes as far north as Dahlonega and Dawsonville and as far south as La Grange and Forsyth, GA.
My name is Rebecca Bartlett and I have been the Local Area Representative (LAR) for the greater Atlanta area for the past year. I have a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and live intown with my husband and three children. I enjoy reading, travel, spin class and being with my family, watching my children play their sports.
I love the Au Pair program and getting to know each of my au pairs and families personally. The au pair program is such a unique and special way to learn about other cultures and expand the horizons of both the au pair and families they match with. It’s exciting to watch the growth and bonds that takes place during this journey!
Atlanta area families are typically professional families (medical, tech, military, self-employed, and business backgrounds) with both parents working and 2-3 infant-teenage children. Many families need assistance with driving children to school and extracurricular activities and are looking for active, engaging au pairs who love to become a part of the family and are willing to travel with the family as needed. Our au pairs come from Colombia, Ecuador, England, Ukraine, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil and China.
Au Pair Cultural Activities
In Atlanta, our cultural events have included meet ups at concerts, coffee shops, ice cream socials, and cook outs or park playdates with host families and children.
Sunday morning at Starbucks is where we held our first au pair in-person meeting post Covid. We enjoyed coffee and talked about the au pairs families, studies in college, and our host families. We also chatted about travel a lot and where the au pairs would like to visit while they have time in the United States.
In May, one of our Atlanta area families hosted a summer kickoff party complete with yummy food and activities for the Go Au Pair families and children. Several au pairs met for the first time and enjoyed an afternoon cook out while sharing experiences and traditions from their home countries and their host families.
