The areas I serve in Boston

Boston and North East Massachusetts, also known as “the North Shore” has a little bit of everything when it comes to our area. We have the city life-closer to Boston, but also the quieter suburbs on the outskirts. This area is flooded with public transportation: the ‘T’ (train), buses, taxis and bicycle rentals. It’s easily accessible through I-90 (mass-pike) and I-93/95.

My name is Makayla Sanville-Krikis and I am the Boston and North East MA Local Area Representative. I am a former educator for grades kindergarten- eighth grade, and some highschool and have been a LAR since February of 2025!

I love the Au Pair program because it’s so inviting for young people to be immersed in the American culture while benefiting all parties. It provides access to American Higher Education, childcare opportunities and so much more.

In the North Shore, we have Au Pairs from Eastern Europe, South America, Africa and Russia! They are all such kind and caring individuals who enjoy exploring Boston. They truly care for eachother in the little community they’ve built for one-another. They enjoy getting coffee at pastry shops in the city, walking around American Historical sites like Salem, MA, going shopping, and exploring the social scene of the North Shore.
