The areas I serve in Connecticut
The “Hartford area” includes a vast range of Connecticut and western Massachusetts, expanding outward from north-central CT, following the Connecticut River to just before the southern towns bordering Long Island Sound. More precisely, it includes all of Hartford County, the majority of Tolland County, most of Middlesex and New Haven County, and most of Litchfield County just short of reaching the western state border.
My first career was in teaching. My second was in parenting. I have raised five children, and I have a passion for quality childcare. In my role with Go Au Pair, I can facilitate the success of both – enriching childcare and supporting family bonds.
I’ve am a Connecticut native, and I live with my family in Granby. My other passions are gardening, tea, yoga & meditation, and reading books.
The current Connecticut families live in the areas of Hartford and New Haven. They lead busy careers in fields, such as, insurance, real estate, and technology, while raising young children to pre-teens.

Au Pairs need to complete their education requirement as part of their exchange program in the United States. Here are some places in Hartford they may be able to enroll.
An Au Pair will need to get a Social Security # before getting a bank account and driver’s license. Go Au Pair will provide a welcome packet with social security information, on the Au Pairs arrival. We advise Au Pairs to wait 10 days after arrival to get their social security number. You can make an appointment at a social security office, closest to your home.
