My name is Julieta I am originally from Argentina and been living in Raleigh, NC for 3 years and I absolutely love this city since i enjoy hiking, listening to music and going shopping and Raleigh has so much to offer.
I enjoy being a Local Area Representative since I am a former Au Pair and have been familiar with the program since then. I believe it’s a great cultural experience and i am thrilled to be a part of it!
My Cluster in Raleigh is fairly new. I have current au pairs are from Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and El Salvador. Our Raleigh Host Families have kids from as little as 2 years old to 14 years old and our host parents currently work in fields like Education, Marketing, Technology and Real Estate.

Au Pairs can get a NC Driver’s License while here, just review the insurance and DMV requirements to add your Au Pair in your insurance.
Raleigh is an area that has some public transportation such as buses but its not recommended. Mostly use Uber or need to be able to drive.
Au Pairs need to complete 6 credits/72 classroom hours while they are here in Raleigh. There are a few options of education in the area, such as Duke and NC State University.
An Au Pair will need to get a Social Security # before getting a bank account and driver’s license. Go Au Pair will provide a welcome packet with social security information, on the Au Pairs arrival. We advise Au Pairs to wait 10 days after arrival to get their social security number. You can make an appointment at a social security office, closest to your home.
